Units = (Volume in mL × ABV%) ÷ 1,000

Pure Alcohol Volume (mL) = Volume × (ABV% ÷ 100)

Worked example, a 330 mL beer at 5% ABV:

Units = (330 × 5) ÷ 1,000 = 1.65 units

Pure Alcohol Volume = 330 × 0.05 = 16.5 mL
