Question 1 of 8

3-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL): what's the most you can deadlift for 3 clean reps right now?

The ACFT spreads across six events that pull on different systems: raw strength in the deadlift, explosive power in the throw, muscular endurance in the push-ups, anaerobic capacity in the sprint-drag-carry, core stamina in the plank, and aerobic fitness in the run. Passing means clearing 60 points in every one of them, so a single weak event can sink an otherwise strong showing. This 8-question check asks where you'd land on each event today, plus how you train and whether you meet body composition standards, and gives you a readiness read.

For a real score estimate, put your actual numbers into the ACFT Calculator. Check the height, weight, and body fat side with the Army Body Fat Calculator, and if you have an old push-up and run baseline, the APFT Calculator is a quick way to see it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is my result calculated?

Each of the 8 questions adds 1 to 4 points based on the performance band you pick for that event, plus your training consistency and body composition. The total (8 to 32) sorts you into Not Test-Ready Yet, On the Bubble, or Test-Ready.

Does this give me an official ACFT score?

No. This is a rough self-assessment based on the bands you select. For a real point estimate, enter your actual reps, distances, and times into the [ACFT Calculator](/us/acft-calculator/), which applies the current scoring tables.

What are the six ACFT events?

3-repetition maximum deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-up, sprint-drag-carry, plank, and the 2-mile run. Each is scored from 0 to 100 points, and you need at least 60 in every event plus 360 total to pass.

Do the passing standards change with age and sex?

The scoring tables are age and sex normalized, so the rep count or time that earns 70 points differs across groups. The 60-point-per-event minimum and 360 total to pass are the same for everyone.

Which event should I train first if I'm on the bubble?

Usually the one closest to failing, since climbing from 55 to 65 points is easier than pushing an already-strong event from 90 to 95. The [ACFT Calculator](/us/acft-calculator/) makes the weak spots obvious once you plug in real numbers.

How does body composition affect the ACFT?

It doesn't change your event scores directly, but you have to meet the Army's height and weight and body fat standards separately. The [Army Body Fat Calculator](/us/army-body-fat-calculator/) estimates where you stand against those limits.

What was the APFT and why compare to it?

The Army Physical Fitness Test was the old three-event test: push-ups, sit-ups, and a 2-mile run. If you trained for it before, the [APFT Calculator](/us/apft-calculator/) lets you see your old score, which is a useful baseline for your push-up and run fitness going into ACFT prep.

Is my quiz result saved?

No. Everything runs in your browser, nothing is sent anywhere, and refreshing the page resets it.
